Job Summary:
Lead and develop the Supply Chain organization in Europe. Ensure daily Demand & Supply activities and smooth business operations for all business units. Lead the global logistics department including vendor management and selection. Develop and implement the regional supply chain and global logistics strategy in line with Global supply chain strategy and overall company strategy and priorities. Implement and further develop organization and process structure to manage the department according to the business strategies and requirements for the entire region. Ensure process efficiencies and business opportunity implementation. Drive continuous improvement and people development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain
- Develop and lead the Supply Chain team for direct product sales
- Develops and executes the regional Supply Chain strategy
- Ensure daily Demand & Supply activities for all businesses
- Ensure safe and smooth supply chain business operations on a daily base
- Ensure legal & tax compliance for all Supply Chain processes
- Ensure compliance to customs regulations for the countries we deliver to including but not limited to: SASO/SABER (Saudi), CETA (Canada), FDA (US), Brexit(UK)
- Evaluate market opportunities to further improve SCM footprint
- Support business in developing & realizing value adding customer solutions within the region
- Ensure personnel development for the team
- Drive Supply Chain Management budgeting process and ensure its achievement
- Actively drive and monitor progress / improvements
- Support Global Supply Chain Process optimization
2. Global Logistics
- Elaborate, continuously develop and implement the global strategy for the logistics category (ocean, road, air)
- Continuously extend understanding of current and potential suppliers, market structure, commodity forecasts, competitive dynamics, trends and demand management levers
- Ensure safe and smooth logistics business operations on a daily base
- Define, develop and own relationship with strategic suppliers to enable a competitive, quality & timely response to the customer market
- Manage and develop key supplier relationships and integrate supplier expertise as appropriate to meet business strategy and deliver cost, product & process improvement
- Build, implement and/or participate in Requests for Proposals (RFPs) processes, bid evaluation and other analytical models with transparency on cost drivers in collaboration with the internal stakeholders
- Lead negotiations in line with strategic objectives
Qualifications
- Education: University degree in business, procurement, supply chain, Logistics or related disciplines
- Work Experience: 10 years in related field, or demonstrated strong solution-oriented capabilities
- Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration): n/a
- Language / Communication Skills: English (fluent / negotiation level), additional language (e.g. Dutch) of advantage
